Kingfisher Class (Years 1 & 2)

Welcome to Kingfisher Class. Our Class Teachers are Mrs Hewson (Mon-Wed) and Mrs Robinson (Thurs-Fri). Our teaching assistant is Mrs Robson.

Here is some information about our class and what we do!

In English, we follow the Talk4Writing programme alongside Little Wandle for our Phonics and Spelling. Please send your child’s reading record in every day and make sure you read at least 5x times a week with them (This can include your pleasure for reading book). Your child will bring home a phonics/spelling sheet to consolidate their weekly learning.

Each child should ensure they have a water bottle in school with them every day with their name on. Children can refill this when required.

Our PE Day is a Friday and children should come to school dressed in their PE kit. We try to go outdoors for our PE lessons each week, so please ensure they have the correct, warm clothing required.

Homework is set on a Friday afternoon via Mathletics. Each child has their own login details in their reading record. This is to be completed by the following Wednesday.
