Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the Government to help schools address the needs of disadvantaged pupils and reduce the gap in achievement compared to their peers. This funding is allocated to children who have been entitled to free school meals at any point, as well as pupils from military families and Looked After Children.
Our Principles at Burgh by Sands Primary School
- We ensure that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all pupils.
- We make appropriate provision for pupils belonging to all vulnerable groups, ensuring that their needs are met.
- Pupils receiving Pupil Premium funding are clearly identified, and individual plans are developed to ensure the funding is used effectively to support their unique needs. We closely monitor the impact of interventions, enhancements, and support provided to ensure best value and positive outcomes for every child.
